What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care management optimizes health through engaging the body's innate recuperative power, that is affected by and integrated through the nervous system, by facilitating neurological and biomedical integrity.
A chiropractor will first watch the animal in movement, such as a walk or trot, then individually motion each joint to find vertebral subluxations.
Vertebral subluxations are instabilities or stiffness in the joint as a motion unit.
Very minimal adjusting thrust is needed. Many times clients think that brute force is needed in adjusting horses. The opposite is actually true. Remember, chiropractors are moving the subluxation only few millimeters.
Many times a lameness can be resolved with chiropractic adjustments only. Although, it is not uncommon for chiropractic and acupuncture or conventional medicine to be used together to resolve a lameness.
